Bali is one of over 17,000 islands…
The south of the island near Tanjung Benoa Nusa Dua is the most popular place to chill out on the beach and spend the day just messing about on the water! And a wide range of fun watersports activities are available including jet skiing, parasailing, banana boats and the Seawalker.
The Seawalker is a unique diving system that lets you walk on the bottom of the ocean to a maximum depth of 15 feet. Protected by a large, full-face window in the Seawalker helmet you get a real close up experience of colourful fish and marine life – without getting your hair wet!
Diving and Snorkeling
Bali is blessed with some spectacular and varied dive sites. Deep drop-offs and steep banks, coral ridges and bommies (shallow reefs), one of the most famous ship wrecks in the world, volcanic outcrops and sea grass beds are all part of Bali’s rich underwater adventure. Eastern Bali at the Lombok Strait is a deep water trench which creates strong and powerful currents as well as large and unusual pelagic fish such as mola-mola and sunfish.
Number One on the list has to be surfing! Recognised all over the world as being one of the best places to surf, Bali offers something for everyone, no matter what their ability. A number of “Learn to Surf” schools have blossomed in recent years as well as Surfaris and private surf charter tours for the more experienced adventurer looking for something a little more on the edge.
Surfing is good all year round; the West Coast beach breaks are at their best from April to October while the East Coast reef breaks are best between mid November and early March.
Game fishing is becoming more and more popular and a number of operators offer day trips for big Tuna, Blue Marlin and Mackerel. The off shore island of Nusa Penida just south of Bali is a favourite fishing spot. Make sure your boat has an experienced captain and provides snorkeling equipment so that you can jump in and cool off!
Sailing and Cruises
Beautiful tropical islands scattered over crystal clear waters, stunning sunsets, and incredible marine life on board power boats, catamarans, day cruise ships, traditional twin-masted Phinisi and state-of-the-art luxury private yachts are all yours for the asking.
